Mission Statement
To serve its members, manufacturing industry, and manufacturing education, SME Chapter 039 shall be a valuable source of communication, networking, and dissemination of manufacturing technology for the Pacific Northwest manufacturing community.
To do this, it will:
- Provide a networking forum for chapter member interaction with other members, educators, other SME chapters, and SME at the national level.
- Provide quality communication via the chapter website of the chapter's upcoming events and activities, leadership, SME certification, and education engagement.
- Encourage young people to choose Manufacturing Engineering as a profession by providing support of educators at all levels, encouraging development of new student chapters, and engaging with established student chapters.
- Increase the awareness within the areas business community of the capability of Manufacturing Engineers and the Seattle Chapter of SME.
